NICE VENTURES
Nice Ventures (named after and pronounced like Nice, France) is a privately held restaurant management company which currently manages two full-service, independent restaurants in San Francisco: Rose's Café (opened in 1997) & Terzo (opened in 2006). In addition to managing these properties, Nice Ventures is also available for consulting on restaurant accounting, human resources, healthcare, operations, and new site development.
Nice Ventures was founded in 1995. Its current restaurants under management have received recognition for food, wine, design, ambiance, service, and responsiveness to the needs of their neighborhoods. Rose's Café, opened in 1997, is located in the Cow Hollow neighborhood and is a bistro-café which offers a place to bask in the sun at sidewalk tables while enjoying simple Italian-inspired dishes made from the best local ingredients. Located directly across the street from Rose's is Terzo.
Terzo was opened in 2006 and is open for dinner nightly. Terzo is a beautiful combination of modern and cozy. Chef Miguel Tzab creates food inspired by the coastal regions around the Mediterranean Sea, sourced from our bountiful local farms and ranches. The eclectic and diverse wine list is attractively priced, draws from regions all over the world, and is designed to pair perfectly with the cuisine. Please join us for an exceptional neighborhood dining experience and your private dining needs.

LAURIE THOMAS
President & CEO
Nice Ventures
What started as a personal love of food and a side business venture as a restaurant investor turned into a full career for Laurie Thomas, owner of Nice Ventures, which now includes two successful restaurants in San Francisco: Rose's Café and Terzo. Prior to becoming a restaurateur, she earned a BS in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University, an MBA from Harvard Business School and held senior management positions at several enterprise software companies in Silicon Valley.
When she is not working or eating in her restaurants, Thomas is committed to giving back to the San Francisco community. A Past-President of the board of the Golden Gate Restaurant Association (GGRA), she remains an active board member, and continues to sit on the public policy and finance committee. Thomas is a member of the honorary board of Meals on Wheels; a SF non-profit focused on feeding the elderly and was a founding member on the board of the Friends of Larkin Street, a sub-board of Larkin Street, focused on fundraising for at risk youth. Recently she completed a pro bono project for the SF SPCA as part of HBS Community Partners.
In her spare time, Thomas enjoys hanging out in SF and traveling with her husband, skiing, hiking, food and wine.
